Nature of offence | Children below 16 years are arrested and charged in Court for criminal offences like theft, shoplifting, consumption and/or possession of drug, house breaking, forgery and rioting among others. | Children below 16 years who are referred to the Juvenile Court by their parents for behavioural issues which include staying away from home, truancy, pilfering and defiance towards their parents and teachers. | Children below 16 years who have been abused, neglected or abandoned. They are referred to the home by the MCYS, police or schools. | They are referred to MWH by the MCYS, public or police for temporary shelter |
